Elyos began in London in 2023 as Elyos Energy, a climate tech company backed by Y Combinator, building smart demand response software that helped commercial buildings use energy more intelligently.
Working that closely with the built environment, the founding team kept meeting the same people: the electricians, engineers and field service businesses who actually keep buildings running. They were drowning in admin, missed calls and lost jobs, and almost no one was building software that truly understood their world.
So Elyos made a bold pivot: from optimising energy to building an AI workforce for the trades. Today we build AI agents that answer calls, book jobs and handle the busywork, plugging directly into tools like Simpro, Joblogic, Commusoft and ServiceTitan.
In January 2026 we raised a $13M Series A led by Blackbird, alongside Y Combinator and Pi Labs, fuelling our mission to give every trade and field service business an unfair advantage.

Meet the founders
Adrian Johnston
Founder & Co CEOA second-time founder: he previously co-founded Una Brands, an e-commerce aggregator that raised $100M and scaled to 300 employees and $70M+ in revenue. Before that, he worked in Global Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs and in BCG's Energy Practice (top 10% of consultants, focused on renewable energy strategy). He holds a Master's in Mathematics from Oxford, a Master of Public Administration in Climate Change and Energy Transition from Harvard, and an MBA from INSEAD (graduated Valedictorian).
Pip Brown
Founder & Co CEOLives in the reality of field services, making sure everything Elyos builds, and ships solves a problem real businesses actually feel. Before Elyos, she was Head of Strategy/Operations at OVO Energy (the UK's largest green-energy supplier, ~$2B revenue), where she managed over 1,000 engineers, and spent four years as an Operations Consultant at Rolls-Royce. She holds an MBA from INSEAD (2023), where she was President of the energy club, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the University of Auckland (2016).
Panos Stravopodis
Founder & CTOCo-Founder & CTO of Elyos AI. A software engineer with 15+ years leading engineering teams across FinTech, MarTech, and Climate Tech. Most recently VP of Engineering at Zoa and Director of Engineering at Bulb, where he led a 100–150+ person engineering team on Smart Energy products across the UK; earlier engineering roles at Funding Circle and Bynder. He holds a Master's in Software Engineering from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD from the University of Patras.
